Workshop manager
Function
As Workshop Manager, you are the key player in ensuring continuity and efficiency in the workshop. You coach the teams and coordinate daily activities together with the production manager.
Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing materials and drawings for the next day's work.
- Managing and monitoring the team in the welding, blasting and assembly department.
- Manage and monitor work planning and progress.
- Ensuring safety and quality requirements in the workplace.
- Support the production manager in improving efficiency and quality.
- Perform inspection of finished pieces and ensure maintenance of machinery.
- Resolve technical issues and act as point of contact.
- Actively contribute to optimisations of production processes.
- Transfer technical knowledge and skill to your team.
- Perform hands-on work when required.
Profile
To be successful in this position, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Hands-on mentality, flexibility and stress-resistance.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant technical work experience, preferably in mechanical engineering, metal or a similar sector.
- Leadership experience or the intrinsic motivation to perform this role.
- Thorough knowledge of mechanics, welding and assembly.
- Good organisational skills and a cost-conscious approach.
- Fluent command of Dutch and good knowledge of English.
- Passion for safety, quality and process optimisation.
- Ability to respond proactively to unforeseen situations.
- Willingness to be flexible in your daily schedule.
