Vacancy

Insurance advisor

Location: Hechtel-eksel, Limburg, Belgium Specialisation: Finance Salary: € 3.000 - € 6.000 gross / month Contracttype: Indefinite time Hours: 37.5 h/week Work ritme: Day

Function

  • As an insurance adviser, you continue to build lasting client relationships and translate insurance questions into clear, tailored advice.
  • You discuss the risks and needs of private individuals, self-employed persons and businesses, and develop solutions within the available insurance options.
  • Existing clients form your starting point: you identify advisory opportunities, proactively follow up on files and thereby increase the added value of every client contact.
  • In addition to advisory meetings, you take on a broad role within the office operations where needed. For example, you assist with telephony, flag opportunities and ensure that queries are followed up correctly.
  • With a commercial and substantive perspective, you contribute to the further development of the insurance activities, without lapsing into purely administrative service delivery.
  • You maintain contacts with clients and partners, monitor the quality of follow-up and take responsibility for your files from initial analysis to appropriate solution.
  • In time, you will have the opportunity to further develop your expertise and commercial impact with a view to a possible role as co-partner.

Profile

  • You ideally bring 5 to 10 years of experience in insurance, banking and insurance advice or a related commercial advisory environment. Experience with businesses or entrepreneurs is a clear advantage.
  • A thorough knowledge of insurance products and the ability to clearly connect risks, needs and solutions form the foundation for high-quality advice.
  • You are commercially minded without being pushy: you are willing to proactively contact clients, ask the right questions and turn signals into concrete advisory opportunities.
  • Independence, initiative and a sense of responsibility are important because, within clear agreements, you are given a great deal of freedom to organise your work and client follow-up.
  • You communicate fluently and calmly, listen attentively and think in terms of solutions. That combination helps you to build trust, make complex subject matter understandable and, in time, help shape the direction of the insurance operations.

Organisation

Working in an office in Hechtel-Eksel with a small team of 10 employees, including 4 partners, means short lines of communication, clear alignment and room to take on responsibility. Tasks and responsibilities are not rigidly defined, which means there is a great deal of trust and freedom in how you organise your work.

In terms of working arrangements, you will also enjoy the necessary autonomy, with freedom regarding working from home and working hours. In addition, a competitive salary is provided, in line with what is expected within the role.

The office is modern and newly fitted out, providing a pleasant workplace. In the immediate vicinity you will find a bus stop at the door, nearby parking and various shops — handy for making the most of your lunch break or quickly running errands. At lunchtime, lunch is provided, so you can continue your working day without any worries.

Offer

  • You will receive a competitive gross salary in line with your experience, expertise and commercial contribution. Strong profiles will have room for a package that reflects their added value.
  • The package is supplemented with additional benefits, including meal vouchers, group and hospitalisation insurance, a commuting allowance, eco-vouchers and a fuel card when using your own vehicle, within the applicable agreements.
  • You work a 38-hour week with statutory annual leave, additional leave days and time-off-in-lieu options. Leave is taken by mutual agreement; there is no fixed collective closure period, with the exception of a pre-agreed collective leave day.
  • You will start with a working arrangement that provides the necessary guidance and office presence. After the induction period, there is room for greater flexibility in working hours, occasional working from home and, by mutual agreement, an evening slot from Monday to Thursday. There are no Saturday openings.
  • You will work in a small team of around ten employees, including several partners. Short lines of communication, direct alignment and trust make it possible to take on responsibility quickly.
  • This role offers more than just a next step as an insurance adviser: you will have the chance to develop your commercial and substantive role and, in time, grow towards a participating position as co-partner.
