Vacancy

Advisor Banking and Insurance

Location: Hechtel-eksel, Limburg, Belgium Specialisation: Finance Salary: € 2.500 - € 4.000 gross / month Contracttype: Indefinite time Hours: 38 h/week Work ritme: 4/5, Day

Function

  • As a banking and insurance adviser, you assist clients with everyday banking matters, saving, investing, basic insurance and consumer credit. You make financial topics understandable and translate questions into advice that truly fits.
  • Advisory conversations form the core of your work: you detect opportunities, ask the right questions and turn a moment of contact into a next step for the client.
  • From the front line, you make telephone contact with existing clients and handle incoming calls. Not to work through lists, but to identify needs and proactively assist clients further.
  • You contribute to the further development of the business portfolio. In doing so, you read and interpret balance sheets, understand both the accounting and banking context, and discuss financing and insurance needs in their entirety.
  • New commercial opportunities do not arise solely through provided leads. You also arrange appointments yourself, follow up on opportunities and are confident in approaching both warm and colder prospects when relevant.
  • You combine commercial alertness with substantive accuracy: clients must not only enjoy speaking with you, but also be able to rely on your advice with confidence.

Profile

  • You preferably bring 3 to 5 years of experience in banking, insurance, financial services or a comparable advisory environment. Experience with entrepreneurs or business clients is a strong asset.
  • Basic knowledge of everyday banking products, saving and investing, insurance, consumer credit and financial analysis helps you to deliver value quickly. You can read balance sheets and identify the key signals from them.
  • A commercial mindset is important: you do not wait for a client to happen to come to you with a need, but ask questions, make connections and are confident in proposing relevant advice or a follow-up conversation.
  • You communicate fluently and naturally, both by telephone and face-to-face. A calm, friendly style helps you build trust, whilst sufficient assertiveness ensures that you do not shy away from difficult or commercial questions.
  • Working independently, learning quickly and thinking in a solution-oriented way make all the difference in this broad range of tasks. You seek out information when needed and take responsibility for the quality of your advice.

Organisation

Working in an office with a small team of 10 employees, including 4 partners, means short lines of communication, clear coordination and room to take on responsibility. Tasks and responsibilities are not rigidly defined, allowing for a great deal of trust and freedom in how you organise your work.

In terms of working arrangements, you will also enjoy the necessary autonomy, with freedom regarding working from home and working hours. In addition, a competitive salary is provided, in line with what is expected within the role.

The office is modern and newly fitted out, providing a pleasant workplace. In the immediate vicinity you will find a bus stop at the door, nearby parking and various shops — handy for making the most of your lunch break or quickly running errands. At lunchtime, lunch is provided, so you can continue your working day without any worries.

Offer

  • A gross salary that takes into account your relevant experience, knowledge and commercial added value. Strong profiles are given room for a suitable proposal.
  • A comprehensive package of fringe benefits, including hospitalisation insurance, group insurance, meal vouchers, eco-vouchers and a contribution towards commuting costs.
  • A fuel card can be provided in combination with a company car; the specific terms and any limits are discussed transparently during the selection process.
  • A 38-hour working week with a work rhythm that suits the office's operations. You generally start at around 8:30 and work under an arrangement that offers more flexibility after your training.
  • After an onboarding period of approximately 3 to 6 months, you can, by mutual agreement, occasionally work a late evening until 19:00 from Monday to Thursday. Friday typically ends earlier; Saturday working is not foreseen.
  • In due course, one working-from-home day per week is possible, once your training and onboarding have been completed and you are functioning independently in the role.
  • You receive 20 statutory holiday days, supplemented by additional leave and time-off-in-lieu options within the applicable employment regime. Public holidays and leave are organised practically, with room to take your days by mutual agreement.
  • The organisation invests in training, knowledge development and opportunities for advancement. This allows you, as a financial adviser, to further specialise in insurance, business banking or another direction that matches your talents.
