Transport planner

Function

As transport planner You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• You will be planning daily export consignments and partial shipments to Ireland;
• You organise collections and deliveries and coordinate these with the haulage department;
• You will monitor the schedule and track shipments from collection to delivery;
• You will ensure that collections are made on time and that there is a smooth connection to the ferry;
• In the event of any changes, you should proactively inform customers and update the schedule;
• You will be responsible for container bookings, loading lists and the necessary information for the relevant departments;
• You will coordinate the customs formalities for ferry shipments.

Profile

Are you the transport planner what we are looking for?

• You have experience as a transport planner – preferably in international transport and groupage;
• You are proactive and results-oriented;
• You can communicate easily in Dutch – in English and French, you’ll have to make do;
• You are able to cope well under pressure and can adapt quickly to unexpected situations;
• You work meticulously and have a keen eye for administrative follow-ups and commercial agreements with clients;
• Knowledge of customs formalities is an advantage;
• You enjoy working as part of a team – you’ll be joining a team of four transport planners – but you’re also able to work independently.
