Transport planner

Function

For the Transport Planner vacancy at our client’s company, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Together with your colleagues and the transport manager, you draw up the daily schedule and allocate journeys to in-house and external drivers
• You’ll soon be able to plan routine journeys on your own, but you can always count on help for more complex assignments
• You monitor the scheduled journeys with the drivers and customers and make adjustments where necessary
• You will check and manage transport and customs documents such as CMR, ADR transport documents and cleaning certificates
• You enter orders, journeys and statuses correctly into the transport management system
• You’ll work from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, on a 38-hour week

Profile

If you are applying for the Transport Planner role with our client, you will recognise yourself in the following competencies:

• You have had a successful first experience as a Transport Planner or hold a degree in a logistics-related subject
• You are meticulous, flexible and a good team player
• You are able to express yourself professionally in Dutch and English
• You have good communication skills and are proficient in using MS Office
• Knowledge of customs and ADR is an advantage but not essential; however, a willingness to learn is essential
