Transport manager

Function

As transport supervisor For the hook-lift lorries, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of transport operations. You combine operational monitoring with structural improvement initiatives and ensure that processes run more efficiently, more effectively and more consistently.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Drive and coordinate daily transport activities, focusing on efficiency and optimisation;
• Monitor the entire order-to-cash process: from correct order input to error-free invoicing;
• Plan capacity, allocate rides and make adjustments based on real-time information;
• Monitor quality, safety and compliance with agreements and legislation;
• Track and analyse KPIs and implement targeted improvement actions;
• Work intensively with internal stakeholders (sites, fleet, sales, customer service);
• Managing planners/dispatchers and drivers, with a focus on clear communication, coaching and team spirit;
• You will be managing 45 drivers (press and crane lorries) based in Geluwe.

Profile

Are you the transport manager what we are looking for?

• At least 5 years' experience in the transport sector; experience with hook trucks/disposal containers is a plus;
• Proven experience in managing planners/dispatch; you are clear, calm and decisive;
• Strong in planning, data analysis and effective use of digital tools;
• Fluent in Dutch, with professional communication skills in French and English;
• Willing to travel within the working region and to other sites as required.
