As a Test and Validation Engineer, you verify the operation and reliability of electromechanical systems. You carry out tests, analyse deviations, and collaborate with various technical teams to safeguard the quality of the solutions.

• You test electromechanical and mechatronic systems and verify the functioning of electrical, mechanical, and software components.
• You carry out tests in accordance with existing procedures and assess the results in terms of safety, performance, and technical requirements.
• You develop and improve test procedures, work instructions, test scripts, and associated documentation.
• You record test results accurately and produce clear reports to support technical decisions.
• You investigate defects and deviations and collaborate with the relevant teams on appropriate solutions.
• You follow up on corrective actions and verify whether identified issues have been effectively resolved.
• You evaluate technical solutions and formulate recommendations based on your findings.
• You work closely with colleagues from engineering, software, production, and installation, as well as with external partners.
• You contribute to the further improvement and validation of complex technical systems.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a technically skilled candidate with experience in testing, fault analysis, and assessing technical systems. You work accurately and independently and can communicate your findings clearly.

• You hold a higher technical qualification in mechatronics, electronics, automation, computer science, or a related field.
• You preferably have several years of experience in engineering, testing, or validation within a technical environment, such as machine building, automation, or production.
• You have practical experience with hardware testing, measurement equipment, and analysing and resolving technical problems.
• You can systematically investigate technical systems and identify the root causes of defects or deviations.
• You work accurately and document test results and technical findings carefully.
• You take initiative independently, but coordinate smoothly with colleagues and other parties involved.
• You communicate clearly and can convey technical information in an understandable way.
• You are able to work with technical procedures and reports in English.
• You are willing to work on-site in Lokeren on a daily basis.
