Team Lead Cross-Dock Night

Function

• As Teamlead Cross-Dock, you take operational charge of a team of loading and unloading staff in Erpe-Mere during the night shift.
• Daily planning and task allocation are given structure through your clear coordination and presence on the work floor.
• You actively participate in loading and unloading activities whilst simultaneously monitoring the progress, quality and safety of the operation.
• As the first point of contact, you handle operational queries, deviations, disruptions and unsafe situations quickly and carefully.
• You monitor performance and objectives and coordinate smoothly with colleagues, warehouse administration and line managers.
• In addition to your role as team leader, you support the logistical administration and the processing of data in the available systems as a back-up.
• You help translate improvement ideas around efficiency, safety, hygiene and quality into practical actions that move the operation forward.
• When the continuity of the operation requires it, you step in at the warehouse or in the deep-freeze environment down to -22 °C, always in accordance with the applicable safety and break regulations.

Profile

• A qualification or experience in logistics, warehousing, production or a comparable operational environment provides a solid foundation; for this role we look for approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience as a team leader, shift supervisor or coordinator is welcome. More importantly, you take responsibility, address colleagues in a respectful manner and provide direction.
• Safety, quality, hygiene and food safety take priority for you, even when workload increases or processes change unexpectedly.
• You communicate clearly, remain calm during operational challenges and work constructively with various stakeholders during the night.
• An affinity with PC work and logistical administration is required. You pick up new systems quickly; knowledge of SAP is an advantage, not a requirement.
