Logistics supervisor

Function

As logistics night supervisor you ensure a smooth organisation and continuous improvement of logistical activities during the night.

You combine a people-oriented leadership style with a practical, operational and analytical mindset.

Your range of tasks:

• You guide, motivate and manage the night shift, together with 3 team leads;
• You coordinate daily activities, distribute tasks and closely monitor planning and deadlines. Thanks to your approach, everything runs according to schedule and shipments depart on time;
• You actively support the further rollout and optimisation of the new delivery activities on site;
• You monitor KPIs and results, analyse performance and take initiative to improve working processes. You also intervene in operational issues and seek appropriate solutions;
• You are responsible for administrative follow-up and reporting, and ensure that safety regulations are observed and the well-being of your employees is safeguarded;
• You maintain smooth collaboration with team leaders, fellow managers, transport partners and drivers;
• You roll up your sleeves when the operational situation calls for it.

Profile

You bring out the best in your employees and build a strong and motivated team. But what profile are we looking for in the role of night logistics supervisor?

• You have several years of experience in the logistics sector or within an operational environment;
• You make decisions with ease and find satisfaction in directing and guiding people, even when that brings its own challenges;
• You are practically minded, solution-oriented and enjoy taking initiative. A direct, no-nonsense approach suits you perfectly;
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and have a good knowledge of French. Knowledge of English is an additional asset;
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with SAP is certainly a plus;
• You are flexible and have no issue with working nights.

What can you expect in the role of logistics supervisor in Roeselare?

• A full-time position of 38 hours per week with a permanent contract within a management role;
• A working schedule from Sunday night through to Friday night, with a five-day working week. Your schedule is communicated well in advance and your working hours are between 21:00 and 10:00;
