Smart Building Solutions Project Manager
Function
- As Smart Building Solutions Project Manager, you lead and follow up on electro-HVAC projects from kick-off through to completion. You monitor both the technical and financial results throughout.
- After the handover from sales, you are the dedicated point of contact for the client. You keep all parties involved aligned and ensure clear communication regarding planning, decisions and progress.
- You carefully take on the pre-engineering, project planning and preparation of critical materials. In doing so, you create a solid foundation for a safe and efficient execution.
- Across the full project scope, you align electrical engineering, procurement, software development and site works with one another. You intervene in a timely manner when quality, timing or budget come under pressure.
- Clear work instructions for the site manager and on-site staff ensure that the agreed technical and safety requirements are met. Monitoring any subcontractors also falls within your responsibility.
- You monitor the administrative handling, including correct and timely invoicing of work carried out.
- As project manager, you share insights from ongoing projects and new concepts with the sales team and report on progress to the responsible business unit manager.
- You work from the office in Merelbeke within a multidisciplinary technology group that realises total automation projects for buildings. The projects connect engineering, panel building, cabling and software with smart applications for HVAC, lighting, charging infrastructure and other building assets.
Profile
- A bachelor's degree in Electromechanics provides a solid foundation. Knowledge of HVAC, control systems and the technical assets of buildings helps you to understand projects in depth; experience as a Project Engineer is an advantage.
- You have a strong interest in electromechanics and building technology and are able to use electrical engineering tools. A basic knowledge of the AREI is important in order to assess technical and safety choices correctly.
- Accuracy, critical thinking and administrative structure help you to reliably monitor planning, budget, quality and invoicing.
- You communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, site managers and partners. This client-oriented and collaborative attitude is essential for aligning expectations and directing team members in a clear, respectful manner.
- You can express yourself professionally in Dutch and get by in French and English. You also hold a category B driving licence and are willing to take responsibility for your projects.
