Site Manager Rail Infrastructure (High flexibility)

Function

As Site manager rail infrastructure You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising projects related to railways and earthworks. From managing teams to ensuring compliance with safety regulations, Your role includes managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the site.

You will participate in planning meetings, instruct workers and subcontractors and ensure that all materials are delivered on schedule. In addition, you are closely involved in yard inspections and SCC certificate management.

The function includes regular night and weekend work. As the work often takes place outside regular working hours, the hours worked can be taken up at a later date.

In a nutshell:

• Coordinate and follow up on track and earthworks in the yard.
• Control of workers and subcontractors.
• Monitor safety, quality and progress of work.
• Organising materials, equipment and daily site planning.
• Participate in site and planning meetings.
• Performing site inspections and following VCA procedures.
• Flexible working in a diverse environment, including night and weekend work.

Profile

To be successful in this role, you ideally possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• You preferably have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, for example within the railways, earthworks, road construction or asphalting sectors.
• You like to take initiative, work independently and feel comfortable in an environment where responsibility is appreciated.
• You have a good command of Dutch; knowledge of French is a nice asset.
• You are open to a flexible working arrangement, where long shifts, night and weekend work may be part of the job.
• A bachelor's degree in construction or relevant experience.
