Function
As calculator for exclusive construction projects in Aarschot You’ll play a key role from the initial planning stages right through to the final implementation. You’ll translate building specifications and client requirements into accurate quotations, realistic budgets and well-structured preparations, with a particular focus on bespoke villa construction and comprehensive renovations.
You will work closely with the in-house construction team, external draughting partners and other stakeholders to ensure projects are optimally prepared from both a technical and administrative perspective. In doing so, you will combine numerical insight with construction expertise and a structured approach. You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas on efficient implementation methods and to make an impact on unique projects right from the start.
- Draw up detailed cost estimates and quotations based on plans and project information.
- Draw up cost estimates and refine budgets based on stability, technical requirements and client requirements.
- Determine suitable materials, construction methods and technical solutions in consultation with the construction team.
- Compile implementation files and organise them in a comprehensive and structured manner.
- Coordinate with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure a smooth handover to the implementation phase.
- Monitor costs, budgets and planning, and make adjustments where necessary.
- To communicate technical and numerical information clearly to all parties involved.

Profile
For this role, we are looking for an analytical and meticulous professional with a strong interest in construction engineering and project preparation. Ideally, you will hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering – preferably in industrial engineering – or have equivalent experience. A background in 3 to 5 years Experience in cost estimation, work planning or a similar role in the construction industry is a major asset.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, or equivalent through experience.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in cost estimation, work planning, new-build projects or complete refurbishments.
- An interest in stability, technical processes, cost calculation and administrative follow-up.
- Practical understanding of building structures; experience on a building site is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using cost estimation software, or a willingness to learn more about it.
- Strong analytical skills, an eye for detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- A good sense of planning, organisation and collaboration within a professional team.
- Fluency in Dutch; knowledge of French would be an advantage.
- A sense of responsibility, a thirst for learning and the drive to grow alongside challenging projects.
