Service Planner

Function

As a Service Planner, you are the beating heart of the service organisation.

• You will be responsible for the planning and coordination of 15 technicians, taking into account their expertise, geographical location and the complexity of the assignments.
• You will draw up operational schedules for preventive maintenance and repairs for clients in the industrial and port sectors, with a focus on heavy rolling stock such as cargo handling cranes and terminal tractors.
• Anticipating unforeseen circumstances is an important part of your job.
• In addition, you will process service vouchers and ensure that the administrative follow-up for invoicing is carried out correctly.
• Although technical support is a smaller part of your role, your technical aptitude brings valuable added value when supporting technicians and customers.

Profile

An affinity for technology and an interest in building up product knowledge are a major asset, but even more important is:

• Some prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a technical or industrial sector.
• A technical qualification or an interest in technology, and a good understanding of the duration of interventions.
• Bilingual (Dutch and French), with strong communication skills in both languages.
• Experience with planning and organisational processes, including the use of planning software.
• Knowledge of, or an interest in, heavy machinery such as forklift trucks, lorries or cranes.
• Strong administrative skills, including checking service vouchers for accuracy.
• Flexibility and a proactive approach to adapting plans to changing circumstances.
• A willingness to learn and, where necessary, to undertake training.

Organisation

Our client specialises in the transport, assembly, maintenance and hire of heavy machinery. Every day, powerful cranes, forklift trucks and other specialist equipment are deployed on site for complex logistical and industrial projects. No two days are the same: large machines are moved, maintained and deployed on a wide variety of assignments, with safety, quality and efficiency always being the top priorities.

To keep things running smoothly, we have a strong team of 30 people who ensure that everything runs like clockwork; as a service planner, you play a key role in this. You act as the link between customers, technicians and the workshop, ensuring that maintenance and repair work is scheduled perfectly so that the machines are always ready for their next challenge.
