Service Engineer
Function
As a Service Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team specialising in high-tech powder process machines, mainly used in R&D environments within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food and chemical industries. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Electrical and mechanical assembly: You build and assemble machines according to the set guidelines.
- Drawing work: Drawing out and adapting electrical diagrams in E-plan, supporting the development and optimisation of machines.
- Calibration and qualification: You will ensure the calibration and qualification of machines coming out of production to meet the highest standards.
- Technical support and service: Maintenance, technical troubleshooting and technical support, both from the main location in Zele and internationally (20% travel).
- Testing: Collaborate with project engineers in testing and analysing machines and test fixtures.
Profile
For this challenging and versatile role, we are looking for a candidate with the following profile:
- Education: Bachelor's or graduate degree in an electrical-oriented field.
- Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English, both oral and written.
- Technical skills: Experience with E-plan is a strong plus; knowledge of other electrical drawing programmes such as Autocad or See Electrical are also of interest.
- Personal qualities: Flexible, hands-on, sociable, team player, working autonomously, customer-oriented and eager to learn.
- Travel: Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20% of the time. Often involves shorter periods where weekend work will never occur.
- Problem-solving skills: An analytical and quality-oriented mindset.

Our client is a dynamic Belgian SME with an extensive international customer portfolio. They have been developing and building high-tech powder process machines for research and development in pharma, biotech, food, chemistry,.... for more than 30 years. Since January 2021, together with their sister company, they can be found in the Lokeren region. The 16-member team is currently looking for an enthusiastic service engineer to expand the team.
