Security Service Technician
Function
As Security Service Technician You ensure that customers’ security systems operate correctly, remain reliable and are ready to do what they are designed to do: protect people, buildings and assets. You’ll work on a wide range of systems, from fire and intrusion detection to CCTV, access control and integrated security solutions.
In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise, customer contact and the ability to work independently. You’ll travel from the office or from home to sites and service calls across the region, and you’ll be provided with the necessary tools to carry out your work efficiently and professionally. You enjoy solving problems, work closely with the customer to find solutions, and ensure a neat, safe and high-quality finish.
Your main tasks:
- Carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on security systems.
- Identifying and analysing technical faults and resolving them efficiently.
- Test, commission and put systems into operation in accordance with the applicable procedures.
- Communicate in a customer-focused manner regarding the work carried out and any recommendations.
- Accurate recording of procedures carried out, findings and materials used.
- Contributing ideas on how to improve performance, reliability and ease of use.
- Working in accordance with the applicable safety and quality standards.
Your role requires a healthy dose of responsibility, attention to detail and a willingness to learn. You won’t be on your own: you’ll be part of a strong technical team that shares knowledge and where you can progress from a junior role to a specialist.
Profile
For this role, we are looking for a candidate with a keen interest in engineering, electronics and computer science, and who is keen to develop their skills further in the field of security technology. Experience is an advantage, but school leavers are certainly welcome to apply provided you have a technical mind and are keen to learn.
Your profile:
- Ideally, you will have studied electrical engineering, electronics, electrical systems or completed a 7th-year course in control and safety engineering.
- You have a clear interest in technology and, ideally, in IT and digital systems as well.
- You enjoy working independently, but you also work well as part of a team.
- You are customer-focused, a good communicator and come across as professional.
- You are meticulous, responsible and enjoy variety in your work.
- You live in Flanders and speak Dutch fluently.
- You have a driving licence B.
- Experience in the sector is an advantage, but not essential.
Above all, we are looking for someone with dedication, enthusiasm and the desire to grow alongside challenging technologies and within a stimulating technical environment.
