Automation Engineer

Function

• You will be part of a central Operational Technology (OT) team and will help drive the digitalisation of production processes.
• You will develop, implement and maintain SCADA, Historian and data logging solutions for various production sites.
• You will be working with technologies such as AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA Historian, AVEVA OMI, Kepware and Siemens Step7/TIA Portal.
• You translate the requirements of production environments into standardised and scalable automation solutions.
• You will help to develop and optimise group standards within industrial automation.
• You will support the integration of production data with other systems, such as MES and other business applications.
• You will configure and install new solutions and oversee updates and upgrades to existing installations.
• You will monitor the performance of the systems and provide technical support where necessary.
• You will be working alongside external integrators and various internal stakeholders.
• You carry out cost and effort analyses to provide a sound basis for technical projects.

Profile

• You will have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferably Industrial Engineering or Automation, or equivalent experience.
• You have experience in industrial automation and SCADA solutions.
• You have a thorough knowledge of AVEVA System Platform, Historian and OMI.
• You have a basic knowledge of Kepware KEPServerEX, Microsoft SQL and Siemens PLCs (Step7 and TIA Portal).
• Knowledge of Eplan, LAN networks and industrial cybersecurity is a real asset.
• You are fluent in Dutch, English and French. Knowledge of German or Italian would be an advantage.
• You are analytical, solution-oriented and enjoy working in a structured way.
• You take the initiative, work pragmatically and feel at home in a technical environment.
