Claims Manager

Function

As a Claims Handler, you are the primary point of contact for clients dealing with a claim. You guide them through the entire process and ensure the correct follow-up of their file.

• You handle claims files from A to Z and monitor the progress of each file.
• You maintain contact with clients, the insurance company and other parties involved.
• You gather the necessary information and documents to assess and complete files correctly.
• You keep clients informed about the status of their case and provide clarity on further handling.
• You seek appropriate solutions while always taking the client's needs into account.
• You monitor deadlines and priorities, even when multiple files require attention simultaneously.
• You work closely with your colleagues and contribute to a smooth service within the office.

Profile

We are looking for someone who works accurately, enjoys helping clients and keeps an overview even during busy periods. Do you largely recognise yourself in the following?

• You hold at least a secondary education diploma, supplemented by a relevant qualification, or you have built up equivalent experience.
• You preferably have experience in claims management or within the insurance sector. Relevant experience is an asset.
• You put the client first and communicate in a clear, professional and empathetic way.
• You work accurately and in a structured manner, and follow up on files consistently.
• You are resilient under pressure and maintain a customer-friendly attitude even during periods of high workload.
• You take initiative, think in terms of solutions and work independently when necessary.
• You are proficient with common PC applications and quickly pick up new systems.
• You are a true team player who supports colleagues and is not afraid to ask for help yourself.
• You have an excellent command of Dutch and are not afraid to express yourself in French as well.
