Sales Engineer

Locatie: Deerlijk, West Flanders, Belgium Sector: Engineering Contract: Job option fixed Uren: 40 hrs/week

Function

As commercial manager, you are the central point of contact for industrial customers and prospects. You detect needs, analyse technical issues and translate them into well-founded business cases and total solutions.

To this end, you work closely with internal specialists (engineering, project management and execution) and supervise the entire commercial process from prospecting to contract negotiation and long-term cooperation.

Your responsibilities

  • Actively identify and approach potential customers within the industrial market
  • Detect and analyse customer needs and translate them into feasible and cost-effective solutions
  • Preparation of technical-commercial offers in cooperation with internal experts
  • Negotiating and concluding contracts
  • Developing commercial strategies and action plans
  • Representing the organisation at trade fairs and customer events
  • Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships

Profile

  • At least 5 years of experience in complex B2B project sales with longer sales cycles
  • Experience with technical solutions or process-based environments strongly recommended
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field (e.g. chemistry, physics, biochemistry, process technology) or equivalent through experience
  • Analytically strong, commercially convincing and solution-oriented
  • You combine autonomy with a strong team spirit
  • Fluent in Dutch and professional English; knowledge of French is an asset
  • Willing to obtain a safety certificate if required
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
