Project Engineer – Renewable Energy & HVAC

Function

As Project Engineer – Renewable Energy & HVAC You will be working on challenging projects in Merelbeke-Melle and the surrounding area, focusing on renewable energy technologies and HVAC installations. You will be responsible for the technical planning, costing and monitoring of various residential and SME projects. In this role, you will be involved from start to finish, from the initial technical analysis right through to handover and aftercare. You will act as a key point of contact between clients, the manager and the installation teams, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing, analysing and designing technical solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
• Carry out site visits and calculate unit costs for a range of installations, such as heat pumps, solar panels and HVAC systems.
• Drafting, checking and following up on quotations, estimates and technical dossiers.
• Monitoring orders, delivery times and technical enquiries during the quotation phase.
• Supervising the installation teams and coordinating the implementation of projects.
• Organising inspections and compiling as-built documentation.
• Carry out technical evaluations and final cost estimates in due course.

Profile

Our ideal candidate has a passion for technology and a keen interest in renewable energy and HVAC solutions. You will have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Technology, Renewable Energy or equivalent through experience.
• A meticulous approach to work, combined with strong technical insight.
• The ability to manage several projects at the same time without losing sight of the bigger picture.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch (essential), supplemented by a basic knowledge of French and English.
• A solution-oriented, enterprising attitude and an affinity for a customer-focused, no-nonsense working environment.
• A driving licence B.
