Quality engineer metal

Function

As a quality officer, you are a crucial link within the team in Arendonk. You are responsible for ensuring product quality. You work closely with production and work preparation to ensure that all processes meet the highest quality standards. In addition to regular checks on the production floor, you are also responsible for keeping quality documentation up-to-date and actively contribute to audits and improvement processes.

Tasks:

• Carrying out quality checks and measurements on sheet metal and welding products
• Checking against technical drawings and customer specifications
• Applying visual welding inspections
• Recording and analysing deviations and non-conformities (NCR)
• Support cause analysis and improvement actions
• Preparation, management and improvement of control and measurement plans, measurement reports and quality reports
• Participate in internal and external audits (e.g. ISO 9001, EN 1090), together with the QA Manager.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement of processes and quality

Profile

• A professional bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 3-5 years working experience in a quality function within sheet metal working and/or welding.
• Application of visual weld inspections (VT-IWT/IWI).
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and altimeters.
• Knowledge of wireless 3D scanning systems is a plus, but additional training can be provided internally.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001; strong advantage: EN 1090 and welding standards.
• Combining practical work on the floor with documentation activities.
• Accurate, independent and communicative.
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English.

Organisation

The company, founded at the time as a family business, specialises in supplying technical high-quality components and assembled finished products through machining, sheet metal working, welding and assembly. They have several branches. In the Arendonk branch, they specialise in parts for machines or appliances, from single pieces to larger series. This for parts in agricultural vehicles, forklifts, machine construction, containers, etc.

About 50 colleagues work at the branch.
