Quality Engineer

Function

As a Quality Engineer, you are the pivotal figure between engineering, production and customer. You work both in the office and in the workshop and follow up the entire quality process from analysis to final inspection.

Your responsibilities:

• Analysis of technical drawings and customer specifications
• Preparation of measurement sheets and quality documentation
• Supporting operators with measurement and quality issues
• Perform and follow up on quality controls in the workshop and measuring room.
• Preparation of measurement reports and quality reports for customers.
• Handle quality deviations and customer complaints.
• Manage and further develop the ISO 9001 quality system.
• Prepare and supervise internal and external audits.
• In time, advance to the role of Quality Manager.

Profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field, such as Design and Manufacturing Technology, Electromechanics or Industrial Sciences
• Initial experience is nice, but not a requirement.
• Strong interest in quality, engineering and process improvement
• Affinity with metalworking, machining or a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on attitude and keen to be present on the shop floor.
• Accurate, analytical and an eye for detail
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English, knowledge of German is a plus

Our client is a family-run manufacturing company in the Wetteren region, specialising in high-quality turning and milling work for various industrial applications. With a team of around 30 employees, the company supplies precision work to customers active in the energy, medical and mechanical engineering sectors, among others.
