Project Manager Electricity
Function
- As an Electrical Project Manager, you oversee electrical projects from preparation and planning through to execution and completion, with a visible impact on the energy efficiency and technical reliability of large buildings.
- The technical, administrative and financial follow-up rests with you: you monitor budgets, quality, timing, contractual agreements and the progress of multiple projects.
- Thorough work preparation forms the basis of your approach. You organise the execution, coordinate activities and ensure that technicians and subcontractors can work efficiently.
- In the office and on sites in the Ghent region, you are the point of contact for clients, suppliers, technicians and other parties involved. You translate technical questions into clear actions.
- Orders, materials, technical files, bills of quantities and progress statements are monitored accurately by you, ensuring every project remains under administrative and operational control.
- Where needed, you provide support with calculations and quotations. In doing so, you help to develop feasible solutions and ensure future projects get off to a well-prepared start.
- You work on varied electrical projects in areas such as retail, office renovation, industry and public buildings, complemented by recurring maintenance and fault interventions.
- Within a small team, you work closely with fellow project managers, an administrative employee and a group of in-house technicians. As project coordinator, you have the space to make independent decisions whilst also aligning quickly with others.
Profile
- You bring initial experience within the electrical sector, for example as a project manager, project engineer, work preparation specialist or estimator. Experience as a project coordinator is a strong asset.
- A solid technical grounding in electricity is important. You can read electrical drawings and have sufficient knowledge of the AREI principles to assess installations and execution choices correctly.
- Knowledge of cable calculations is welcome. If you still have room to grow in this area, there is scope to further develop this expertise with support and training.
- Working in an organised and precise manner helps you to monitor multiple projects, deadlines, budgets and technical files simultaneously.
- You communicate clearly and take responsibility. This is essential for keeping clients well informed, directing technicians effectively and quickly reaching a workable solution when changes arise.
Organisation
Our client is responsible for all technical installations — from design&build/renovate to maintenance, monitoring and optimisation of large buildings. Through targeted interventions or a fully tailored approach, we support companies in sustainability and energy efficiency to accelerate their energy transition.
Offer
- A competitive salary package in line with your experience and technical responsibility, supplemented by meal vouchers of €10 per day worked.
- A net expense allowance and a comprehensive insurance package, including hospitalisation insurance, provide additional financial and social security.
- An electric company car with a charging card supports your travel between the office and sites in the Ghent region.
- A mobile phone with a subscription is provided for smooth availability in your day-to-day collaboration.
- Through a cafeteria plan, you can tailor parts of your package to your personal preferences, for example with extra holiday days or bike leasing.
- You have 32 days of leave: 20 statutory holidays and 12 ADV days, freely chosen in consultation with the team.
- The working week combines office presence in Ghent with site follow-up across the region. You work within a small, approachable team with short lines of communication and the stability of a larger technical construction organisation.
- In time, there are opportunities to grow into a responsible role within the branch, as your expertise and ambition continue to develop.
