Project Manager

Function

• As project manager you bear final responsibility for one or more construction projects, from preparation through to completion. You monitor both the execution and the budget and maintain a complete project overview.
• The projects are of considerable scale and are located in and around Antwerp, Limburg and Flemish Brabant. You ensure that planning, resources, quality and profitability remain in balance with one another.
• Site managers and assistant project managers can count on your guidance, clear priorities and regular follow-up. In this way you create structure on site and give the team the space to work efficiently.
• In collaboration with work preparers, buyers and estimators, you coordinate personnel, materials, subcontractors and preparatory work. You also follow up on the correct conclusion of subcontracting agreements.
• Quality and safety are given a fixed place in your day-to-day monitoring. You ensure the application of quality plans, correct site preparation and safe execution.
• Financial monitoring is also part of your responsibility: you check invoices, additional and reduced works and progress statements, so that the financial progress remains transparent.
• As project manager you lead team meetings and participate in site meetings. You are the first point of contact for the client and contribute to a professional collaboration throughout the entire project.
• From completion dossiers to quality documentation: you ensure that administrative and technical obligations are finalised on time and correctly. You report on progress to the project director.

Profile

• A degree in civil engineering or a comparable technical qualification forms the basis for this role. You understand the technical, organisational and financial aspects of a construction project.
• You bring approximately seven years of relevant experience as a project leader, project manager or in a comparable coordinating construction role. Experience with larger construction projects is important in order to maintain a clear overview quickly.
• Clear communication and sufficient assertiveness help you to monitor agreements with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal colleagues. You make complex information understandable and address those involved in a timely manner.
• You work in a results-oriented manner, think in terms of solutions and make decisions when progress requires it. At the same time, you motivate site managers and project staff by providing direction, trust and constructive feedback.
• Safety, quality and collaboration are not loose points of attention for you, but fixed criteria in every decision. You combine independence with a willingness to align and make use of others' expertise.
