Project Manager

Function

Our client is looking for a project manager who will help make a difference on various construction projects in Antwerp, Limburg and Flemish Brabant. In this role, you will take charge of one or more sites and oversee progress, quality, safety and the budget from the preparatory phase right through to handover.

You are the main point of contact for site managers, assistant project managers, subcontractors and colleagues within the organisation. Thanks to your overview and structured approach, planning, execution and administration remain perfectly aligned.

Your duties will include:

• managing and coaching site managers and assistant project managers;
• planning and monitoring staff, materials and subcontractors;
• ensuring quality, safety and efficiency on site;
• monitoring progress reports, invoices, and additional and reduced works;
• preparing handover documentation and quality plans;
• co-ordination with project preparation, procurement and costing;
• chairing consultation sessions and site meetings;
• maintaining smooth and professional communication with the customer.

Profile

For this role, our client is looking for a project manager with a technical background in construction and a genuine interest in overseeing building sites from start to finish. You don’t need to have years of experience, but you must be ready to take on responsibility and develop your career within a Class 8 construction company.

We expect you to recognise yourself in the following profile:

• you hold a degree in architecture, civil engineering or a comparable technical qualification;
• you have 0 to 3 years’ experience in the construction sector or a similar technical environment;
• you communicate clearly and professionally, and liaise easily with different parties;
• you keep track of things, work in a structured manner and take the initiative where necessary;
• you are results-oriented and think in terms of solutions;
• you have an eye for safety, quality and teamwork;
• you are willing to oversee projects in and around Antwerp, Limburg and Flemish Brabant;
• Experience in site supervision, administration or coordination is an advantage.
