Main project leader
Function
What does your job entail?
- As Lead Project Manager Buildings, you take overall charge of complex renovation and restoration projects in the province of East Flanders, from preparation and concept phase through to completion.
- The project planning takes shape under your direction: you align staff, materials, subcontractors and suppliers so that every site progresses in a manageable and efficient manner.
- You coach project managers, foremen and operational staff, provide clear direction and create the conditions in which professional knowledge and responsibility can grow.
- You monitor quality, safety, timing and budget closely. By making timely adjustments, you limit risks and deliver results that clients and colleagues can rely on.
- As the central point of contact, you maintain professional client relationships, chair site meetings and represent the organisation with construction partners, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Financial monitoring is also part of your responsibility: you manage budgets and profitability, compare prices, negotiate terms and oversee progress statements and reporting.
- You keep project administration and technical documentation in order and coordinate the overarching planning within your area of responsibility.
- With your experience as a project manager, you identify opportunities for alternative working methods, energy-efficient renovations and new techniques that make execution safer, more efficient or more sustainable.

- You bring at least 7 years of experience as a project manager in construction, renovation or restoration and are familiar with the coordination of multiple complex sites.
- You combine technical insight with strong organisational ability: you maintain an overview, set priorities and translate plans into concrete actions on site.
- Clear communication and calm leadership are important, as you bring different teams and partners into alignment, provide feedback and create support for decisions.
- You work responsibly and with a forward-thinking mindset.
- Safety, quality, planning and financial control form the basis for you, whilst you remain open to improvement and innovation.
