Project Manager

Function

As Project Manager You will take the lead on challenging projects and ensure they run smoothly from start to completion. You will combine technical expertise with strong people management skills, whilst always keeping a close eye on planning, budget, quality and safety.

In this role, you will be the main point of contact for internal teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers. You will monitor the progress of projects, make adjustments where necessary and ensure that deadlines and targets are met. In addition, you will actively contribute ideas on optimisation, improving efficiency and future opportunities.

• You will be responsible for the planning and budget monitoring on several projects at the same time.
• You will be responsible for the technical, administrative and financial monitoring of the works.
• You will provide advice on tenders and the preparation of quotations, with a focus on return on investment and pricing.
• You will manage site supervisors and administrative staff and motivate them in their day-to-day work.
• You will closely monitor the implementation, timing, quality and safety, and take action where necessary.
• You maintain strong relationships with customers, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• You will draw up interim and final reports and report to the Business Unit Manager.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for an experienced project manager with a strong technical background and a proven ability to successfully manage projects and people. You have excellent communication skills, can maintain an overview of complex projects and are able to translate priorities into concrete action with ease.

• You hold a qualification as Civil or Industrial Engineer in Structural Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• You have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar project management role.
• You have experience of managing teams and possess strong people management-skills.
• You’re good at planning, organisation and follow-up of several files at the same time.
• You communicate clearly and professionally, both internally and externally.
• You are customer-focused, take responsibility and adopt a solution-oriented approach.
• You are flexible, able to cope with stress and adapt quickly to unexpected circumstances.
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch and French.
• You have an affinity for technical projects, site organisation, budget management and reporting.
• You feel at home in an environment where teamwork, initiative and attention to detail are important.
