Function

We are looking for a [position] for a leading international group specialising in technical project support and specialist implementation contracts. Project Manager, Hydraulic Engineering. In this role, you will take charge of coordinating hydraulic engineering projects from start to finish, combining technical precision with a pragmatic approach. You will contribute to projects that have a visible impact on the environment, within a stable and people-centred organisation where learning, innovation and teamwork are key priorities.

You will be the point of contact for planning, progress and quality, and you will ensure that projects are carried out efficiently and safely. In doing so, you will liaise seamlessly between the site, administration, clients and internal teams. • You will oversee the planning, preparation and budget monitoring of hydraulic engineering projects.
• You will monitor the implementation closely from a technical, administrative and financial perspective.
• You liaise with site managers, administrative staff, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• You will provide support with quotations, tenders and estimates of price and return.
• You will monitor quality, safety, scheduling and progress on site and make adjustments where necessary.
• You will report on the project status and results to management.
• You will help build lasting relationships with customers and partners and actively contribute ideas on new opportunities.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a driven candidate with a strong interest in hydraulic engineering and project coordination. You are someone who enjoys taking on responsibility, works in a structured manner and thrives on collaborating with various stakeholders. Ideally, you will already have some initial experience in a technical, engineering or project-based environment, but we are also open to candidates just starting out who have the right foundation and ambition.

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical subject, preferably architecture, civil engineering or an equivalent course.
• You have between 0 and 3 years’ relevant experience, for example in project coordination, site supervision, hydraulic engineering, infrastructure or a similar field.
• You have a keen interest in planning, organisation, budget monitoring and technical implementation.
• You communicate fluently and professionally with colleagues, clients and operational teams.
• You work in a structured and meticulous manner and take responsibility.
• You are flexible, able to cope with stress, and can handle changing priorities and unexpected situations well.
• You have a proactive attitude and a solution-oriented mindset.
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch; knowledge of French would be an advantage.
• You feel at ease in a role that involves both operational and coordinating tasks.

Experience with project management software, reporting tools or digital applications would be an advantage. More importantly, you should be keen to learn and ready to develop your skills further within a professional and innovative environment.
