Vacancy
Project Engineer/Designer
Function
- As a Project Engineer/Designer, you take responsibility for your own projects, from the initial technical discussion to a solution that works for the client.
- In consultation with the client and your team lead, you translate technical questions into clear designs, calculations and executable engineering solutions.
- You develop designs with attention to functionality, manufacturability, safety and smooth execution on site.
- 3D models, technical drawings and project documentation form an important part of your work. In doing so, you work with existing packages or gradually learn to work with Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, AutoCAD Plant 3D and Navisworks.
- Regular alignment with clients, fellow engineers and other relevant disciplines ensures that decisions are made in a timely manner and projects move forward.
- You actively monitor your projects, flag bottlenecks early and work together with your team to find practical solutions.
- From the Roeselare region office, you have room to grow within a technically diverse environment, whilst making a visible contribution to projects for clients in Belgium.
Profile
- A technical master's degree in electromechanics, mechanical engineering, design, product development or a comparable field provides a solid foundation for this role.
- You are looking forward to a first experience as a designer or have already spent several years in a similar engineering role. More important than a long career is your willingness to continue applying and developing technical knowledge.
- Strong 3D insight helps you to understand complex technical problems and translate them into clear designs. Experience with Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, AutoCAD Plant 3D or Navisworks is an asset; eagerness to learn is at least equally important.
- You combine a practical, solution-oriented working style with sufficient accuracy to develop projects in a technically correct manner and in line with agreements.
- A positive attitude and open communication make it easier to build trust with clients and colleagues. You actively contribute to a pleasant collaboration and are not afraid to take responsibility for your own work.
Organisation
Our client provides tailor-made, intelligent solutions for general and industrial engineering and specific automation projects. A no-nonsense firm from Gits that strives for quality and excellent service. We aim to be a trusted partner for our clients throughout Belgium.
Offer
- You will receive a competitive salary package tailored to your experience, technical capabilities and the responsibility you take on within the projects.
- A company car and fuel card are included in the offered package. A mobile phone subscription is also provided.
- You will take on a responsible role within an organisation with a flat structure, where your technical input can be directly visible in the result.
- The projects offer variety in content, technical challenge and room to develop creative engineering solutions.
- You work in an environment where collaboration, a good team atmosphere and personal guidance are important.
- Through projects, consultation with experienced colleagues and on-the-job training, you can further develop as a Project Engineer, designer or technical project lead.
