Project Engineer

Function

As a Project Engineer in Antwerp, you will support technical projects from start to finish within an international mechanical engineering environment. You will contribute to process installations for sectors including the food, plastics, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and will have the opportunity to further develop your technical knowledge. You will work closely with experienced project managers and colleagues, gradually taking on more responsibility. You will combine technical preparation, monitoring and consultation with internal departments, suppliers and customers.

Your tasks:

• Providing support with the preparation, planning and monitoring of projects.
• Contributing to technical designs, calculations and solutions.
• Translating technical information into concrete project input.
• Coordinating with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
• In due course, take on smaller projects independently.
• Contributing to high-quality and efficient project delivery.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a candidate who is keen to learn and has strong analytical skills, with a technical background and an interest in project work. Both recent graduates and candidates with some initial experience are welcome to apply. Above all, what matters is your motivation to learn and develop within an environment where technology and collaboration are key.

Your profile:

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial sciences, preferably in electromechanics or chemistry.
• Ideally, you will already have some relevant work experience.
• You work in an analytical and structured manner and maintain a clear overview of various tasks and deadlines.
• You communicate easily with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
• You are solution-oriented and keen to keep learning.
• You have strong organisational skills and are able to manage several tasks at once.
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch and English; knowledge of French or German would be an advantage.
• You are a team player with the ambition to further develop your technical knowledge

Together with our client, we are looking for a Project Engineer to strengthen their Chemicals department. Our client operates in the mechanical engineering sector and builds process plants for clients in sectors including food, plastics, pharmaceuticals and chemicals. From its Belgian branch, which serves as an R&D, sales and service centre, around 140 employees work on innovative technical solutions.
