Production planner

Function

As a Production Planner in Dendermonde, you act as the link between sales, production, logistics and the warehouse. You ensure efficient and realistic production planning and oversee the smooth running of the packaging lines. Thanks to your ability to see the bigger picture and your proactive approach, you coordinate the various departments and contribute to efficient production.

Your tasks:

• Drawing up and monitoring short- and long-term production plans.
• Align the schedule with capacity, priorities and the availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
• Consult with the purchasing, logistics and warehouse teams to ensure production runs smoothly.
• Help monitor staff planning for each production line and make adjustments where necessary.
• Identify bottlenecks and make proposals to optimise planning and processes.
• Monitor production data and adjust the schedule where necessary.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a meticulous and communicative planner who enjoys bringing structure to processes and thinking ahead. You feel at home in a production environment, can switch easily between different departments and maintain a clear overview even under time pressure.

Your profile:

• You have several years’ experience in production planning, supply chain management or a similar field.
• You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a logistics, economics or production-related field, or equivalent experience.
• You speak fluent Dutch and have a good basic knowledge of French and English.
• You are proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and have a good head for figures.
• You are meticulous, organised and take responsibility.
• You are a good communicator and enjoy working with various internal departments.
• You can cope well with stress and know how to set the right priorities.
• Experience in a manufacturing or food industry environment would be an advantage.
