Production planner

Function

What exactly are you going to do as a production planner in the Ardooie region?

• Prepare and adjust forecasts based on trends, customer input & market info
• Planner / scheduler tasks: ensuring production lines, raw materials & packaging are scheduled according to demand and capacity
• Managing inventory: slow movers, obsolescence, inventory strategies (make-to-stock vs make-to-order)
• Coordinating suppliers, production and logistics chain: ensuring everything arrives on time to meet production deadlines
• Monitor KPIs: forecast accuracy, inventory levels, delivery time, capacity utilisation, etc.
• Proactively identify & mitigate risks (shortages, overstocks, demand shift)

Profile

Do you recognise yourself in the points below?

• You preferably have a master's degree and an interest in planning. Experience is a plus but not a must with the right mindset
• You are hands-on: you know your way around both in data & planning and on the shop floor
• You are structured, good with figures, have an eye for detail but do not lose sight of the big picture
• Communicative strong: you dare to interact with different departments, ask questions and make decisions
• You are eager to learn, flexible, and feel comfortable in an environment with variable volumes and sometimes tight deadlines
• Knowledge of planning tools / ERP / WMS is a plus, but more importantly you can learn quickly
