Production planner
Function
As Production planner You’ll be part of the team responsible for planning and monitoring the refuse collection lorries. You’ll ensure that production planning runs smoothly, thereby playing a key a link between production, sales and the various departments.
So you’re not sitting at your desk all day. You’re regularly present on the shop floor, keeps abreast of what is actually happening and steps in when you notice a problem arising.
What will you do?
- You’ll be helping with the drawing up, monitoring and adjusting the production schedule.
- You’ll be in daily contact with department managers, colleagues on the shop floor and the sales team.
- You keep the available production capacity closely monitors the situation and identifies any potential problems or delays.
- Are things not going to plan? You think pragmatic and solution-oriented works with the colleagues concerned to find a solution.
- You’ll play an active part in the improving production methods and work processes.
- You will be regularly present on the production floor and, from a hands-on approach to help keep things moving smoothly.
Profile
Above all, we’re looking for someone who enjoys takes control and draws energy from a schedule that is constantly changing.
- You have a a keen interest in technology and you’re comfortable working in a production environment.
- Experience as a production planner is essential (> 5 years)
- Experience or knowledge of steel structure? That’s a nice bonus!
- You are meticulous, organised and strong at administrative tasks.
- You stay calm when the schedule suddenly needs to be adjusted and immediately set about finding a solution.
- You communicate well, take the initiative and aren’t afraid to speak to your colleagues.
- You enjoy working with different departments and aren’t afraid to to start work.
- You speak fluently Dutch and have a basic knowledge of French and English.

Our client is a A West Flemish manufacturing company based in Staden which specialises in the development and construction of heavy and often bespoke vehicles and metal structures. The company was founded in 1944 and, according to its own website, now employs more than 500 people.
