Team leader loading bay

Function

For our client in the Koolskamp area, we are looking for a Team Leader Loading Dock who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and keeping an overview. You ensure that the day-to-day operations at the loading dock run smoothly and that your team works well together.

What does that mean specifically?

• Your organises and coordinates the day-to-day operations at the loading dock and closely monitors loading and unloading activities.
• You monitor a smooth goods flow and adjust planning, staffing and priorities where necessary.
• Does something go wrong? You look proactively for solutions and ensure that downtime is addressed as quickly as possible.
• Your you coach, motivate and guide your team and ensure that new employees are properly trained.
• You communicate clearly about instructions, changes and operational agreements.
• You regularly align with other departments, such as the technical service, dispatch and supply chain.
• You monitor compliance with safety and quality regulations and actively contribute ideas for improvements.
• You are not afraid to roll up your own sleeves and pitch in on the work floor when the situation calls for it.

Profile

Who are you?

• You have experience in managing a team within a logistical environment, such as a warehouse or production environment.
• Experience at a loading dock or in a distribution centre is a nice bonus.
• You have a good understanding of logistical processes and goods flows.
• You work smoothly with ERP systems and WCS.
• You speak excellent Dutch and can also get by in French and English.
• You are a natural leader who knows how to motivate, coach and support colleagues.
• You think in solutions, keep a cool head and maintain an overview, even when things get busy.
• You are a strong communicator, work in an organised manner and enjoy rolling up your own sleeves.
• Safety is always your top priority and you readily take on responsibility.
• You hold a valid forklift certificate or are motivated to obtain one.
