Dispatcher Night

Function

As Dispatcher Night In Ninove, you’ll act as the linchpin between planning, drivers and customers during the night-time transport operation. You’ll ensure that daily deliveries are carried out efficiently, accurately and on time, with a particular focus on quality, service and continuity.

In this role, you will combine planning, administration and communication. You will monitor transport flows, adapt quickly to unexpected changes and keep track of key operational data such as timetables and temperature information. You will work in a dynamic environment where accuracy and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.

• Planning and monitoring transport routes for a fleet of around 50 drivers.
• Act as the first point of contact for drivers and customers during the night shift.
• Resolving operational issues and making adjustments where necessary to ensure that deliveries run smoothly.
• Checking and recording transport data, including schedules and temperature information.
• Ensuring clear, accurate and timely administrative follow-up.
• Contribute to an efficient, supportive and service-oriented working environment.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a candidate with a keen interest in logistics and transport, combined with a practical, solution-oriented approach. You do not need to have years of experience, but you must be able to work independently, adapt quickly and maintain a professional approach whilst working night shifts.

• 0 to 3 years’ experience, preferably in dispatching, transport planning, logistics or as a driver.
• An interest in transport, lorries and operational coordination.
• Smooth communication in the Dutch and French.
• High standards of administrative accuracy and an eye for detail.
• Stress-resistant, decisive and able to set priorities.
• A customer-focused and proactive approach, with a focus on solutions.
• Willingness to work in a night shift from 3.30 to 11.38, including weekend shifts.
• A hands-on approach and the flexibility to deal with unexpected situations in a professional manner.
