Measurement Engineer
Function
As a Measurement Engineer, you carry out industrial measurements, analyse measurement data and report the results to clients. You work primarily on-site at industrial companies, production environments and technical workshops.
Every assignment is different. You come into contact with various components, machines, materials and production processes. As a result, you combine hands-on work with technical analysis and client contact.
Your responsibilities:
- You travel to industrial clients and carry out measurements on-site.
- You analyse the requirements of each measurement project and determine the appropriate approach.
- You select and operate suitable 3D measurement systems and measuring equipment.
- You gather accurate data from industrial components and products.
- You process and verify measurement data using specialist software.
- Where necessary, you compile clear technical measurement reports.
- You maintain, inspect and handle the measuring equipment with care.
- You align the technical approach and progress with clients and colleagues.
You will start with training in a specific measurement technology and will be guided by experienced colleagues. As your knowledge grows, you will have the opportunity to work with additional technologies and take on more complex projects.
Profile
Our client is looking for a technically oriented professional who enjoys hands-on work and finds satisfaction in accurate results.
You possess:
- A professional bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field, such as electromechanics, industrial sciences, mechanical engineering or a related programme.
- An interest in mechanical components, production processes and technical measurement methods.
- A precise, systematic and quality-oriented working approach.
- Adequate computer skills and a willingness to learn specialist software.
- The ability to take on responsibility independently and to collaborate effectively.
- Flexibility to work in various industrial environments.
- A valid category B driving licence and a willingness to travel for more than half of your working time.
- A good command of Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
Experience in industrial metrology is not a requirement. Technical insight, motivation and eagerness to learn are at least equally important. Experience with or interest in 3D scanning, CAD, 3D modelling, quality control, dimensional inspection or 3D printing is an added advantage.
Organisation
Our client is a technically specialised organisation that supports industrial companies with complex measurement and quality challenges. Drawing on strong expertise in 3D metrology, the company helps clients to accurately analyse parts, products and technical processes.
Offer
You can count on:
- A varied technical role with client contact and plenty of variety.
- The chance to work with advanced 3D measuring equipment.
- Thorough training and guidance from experienced colleagues.
- Projects with a diverse range of industrial clients.
- The opportunity to build expertise in metrology and technical analysis.
- An attractive salary package with additional benefits such as a company car and meal vouchers.
- A collegial working environment in which initiative and personal growth are valued.
