Maintenance Manager
Function
- As Maintenance Manager, you become the technical point of contact for an advanced production environment in Riemst, where mechanics, electrotechnics, automation and process installations converge.
- You independently and thoroughly analyse complex faults on automated production lines. You do not merely look for a temporary fix, but structurally eliminate recurring problems.
- You have a thorough understanding of the technical operation of machines, sensors, servo systems, frequency inverters, PLC controls and industrial networks in order to increase reliability, precision and availability.
- You monitor the coherence between production installations, industrial refrigeration, electrical infrastructure, energy supply, compressed air, water, process control and building-related systems.
- You translate improvement projects into concrete results: fewer stoppages, a more efficient production process, higher machine availability and consistent product quality.
- For new investments, technical modifications and interventions by specialist suppliers, you contribute substantive expertise and assess solutions on feasibility, safety and long-term value.
- You work on an early start schedule of approximately 05:30 to 14:00. When the technical team expands, the schedule may change; an alternative shift of approximately 08:00 to 17:00 is also possible.
Profile
- You bring more than ten years of experience with complex industrial machinery, production installations or technical infrastructure. A background in high-tech production, machine building, the food industry or commissioning is a strong asset.
- You have an exceptionally strong practical command of mechanics and electrotechnics, complemented by in-depth knowledge of industrial automation, PLC controls and drive technology.
- You can independently diagnose faults in which mechanics, electronics, software and production processes interact. This analytical approach is essential for finding root causes rather than treating symptoms.
- A qualification is not decisive: demonstrable technical expertise, attention to detail and the ability to deliver solutions in practice carry more weight than a job title.
- You communicate clearly with colleagues, suppliers and technical partners. Curiosity, ownership and a willingness to share knowledge will help you embed technical improvements over the long term.
Organisation
For a high-tech food company specialising in the industrial processing and filleting of salmon, we are looking for an exceptionally strong, hands-on technical expert.
Our production environment combines advanced mechanics, electrotechnics, industrial automation, precision technology and complex process installations.
Our machinery park includes, among others, BAADER installations (434, 581, 518, 988, 560 and 867).
Offer
- A highly attractive and negotiable salary, tailored to your experience, technical expertise and the value you add in this key role.
- An electric company car with charging card, meal vouchers of 9 euros per working day and eco-vouchers worth 250 euros per year.
- A permanent base in Riemst, within a specialised production environment where you have a direct influence on performance, reliability and technological development.
- A role with a high degree of technical autonomy and responsibility, without people management being an end in itself. Your expertise is at the centre.
- Access to targeted technical training and in-depth knowledge of the industrial installations and technologies in use.
- A working schedule typically starting early, from approximately 05:30 to 14:00; once the technical team expands, a shift of approximately 08:00 to 17:00 can also be discussed.
- A long-term perspective as Maintenance Manager, technical expert or maintenance lead, with room to help shape investments, improvement projects and the further development of the site.
