Maintenance engineer
Function
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining, improving and coordinating all mechanical systems and installations. You will develop and manage the preventive maintenance policy for the entire machinery fleet and translate this into concrete maintenance plans, working methods and improvement measures. You ensure maximum reliability and availability of production and packaging installations and take the lead in optimising maintenance.
- Developing, implementing and monitoring the preventive maintenance policy for the entire fleet of machinery.
- Developing long-term maintenance strategies based on risk, reliability and life-cycle management.
- Defining and updating preventive maintenance plans for all installations.
- Managing and optimising ControlOffice.
- Organising and overseeing the annual major maintenance programme in collaboration with Engineering and the Technical Department.
- Supporting fault analysis and structural problem-solving.
- Designing and improving mechanical components.
- Training and coaching technicians within the field.
- Reporting on maintenance performance and improvement initiatives.
- Advises the COO on maintenance strategy, asset reliability and technical investments.
- Supervises and coordinates external contractors during maintenance and capital works projects.
- Supports technicians and engineers with complex technical issues.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanics, electromechanics or an equivalent qualification gained through experience.
- You have at least 3 years’ experience in a production environment with maintenance or engineering responsibilities.
- You have a strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, maintenance management and CAD systems.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- You are hands-on, analytical, have strong organisational skills, are a good communicator and are results-oriented.
- You speak Dutch fluently and have a good knowledge of English.
- You are flexible and can cope with changing priorities.
