Logistics Manager

Function

For our client in Dilsen-Stokkem We are looking for a Logistics Manager. In this role, you take operational charge of dispatch and repack, with attention to a smooth flow of goods and correct handling of incoming and outgoing materials.

Your responsibilities:

• Coordinating goods receipt, outsourcing and transport requests in consultation with planning, production and external transport partners.
• Carefully processing and communicating all logistical movements in the ERP system IFS.
• Drawing up and monitoring the departmental planning and making timely adjustments in response to changes in priorities, capacity or transport requirements.
• As a people manager, you direct the department and create clear agreements regarding the storage and handling of raw materials, auxiliary materials, finished products and empties.
• Procedures and work instructions help you to work safely, efficiently and consistently. You draw these up, keep them up to date and support employees in applying them.
• By analysing logistical processes, you detect bottlenecks and translate insights into concrete improvements in the logistical flow.
• You report directly to the CEO and thus gain visibility into the impact of your decisions within an international production environment in Belgium.

Profile

The ideal candidate for the position of Logistics Manager at our client’s premises in Dilsen-Stokkem has a background in logistics, supply chain or a comparable operational environment.

Your profile:

• You bring 5 to 10 years of experience in logistical coordination, warehouse operations, transport planning or a production environment in which various departments work closely together.
• As a people manager, you know how to clearly direct, guide and motivate employees. Your communication style helps to make expectations open to discussion and to strengthen engagement within the team.
• Analytical thinking, solution-oriented action and perseverance enable you to quickly set priorities and bring logistical problems to a workable solution.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing. A good knowledge of MS Office and an interest in geographical transport issues support your day-to-day operations.

With more than 500 employees, modern production facilities and an in-house engineering team, the organisation offers fully customised total solutions. In addition, it provides efficient, customer-oriented logistical solutions, including JIT, JIS and KANBAN deliveries.

Offer

For the position of Logistics Manager offers our client in Dilsen-Stokkem the following package:

• A gross salary based on experience between €3,000 and €4,600
• Your monthly salary is further supplemented with:

  • A company car is open to discussion and dependent on the experience you can demonstrate
• The role offers full-time employment within an international production environment in Belgium, with a central position between logistics, planning and production.
• You work day shifts from 7:30 to 16:00. On Fridays, your weekend starts at 15:00.
• You are given the space to further develop your knowledge of logistical processes through training and practice-oriented development.
• Due to the direct reporting line to the CEO, your contribution is visible and you can directly help shape improvement initiatives.
• A start via temporary employment or immediately a permanent contract depending on your experience
