Lift Engineer – Service Specialist

Function

As Lift Engineer – Service Specialist You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and preventative management of lifts at customers’ premises in West Flanders. You ensure that systems continue to operate safely, reliably and at peak performance, and you act as a visible point of contact for customers when technical support is required.

In this role, you will combine technical expertise with a service-oriented approach. You will analyse faults, carry out repairs and proactively contribute ideas for improvements that enhance the lifespan and performance of systems.

• Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on lifts.
• Identifying and resolving technical faults on site.
• Checking the safety, operation and compliance of installations.
• Advising clients and explaining the work carried out.
• Recording interventions and monitoring technical reporting.
• Working with fellow technicians and the planning department to ensure a smooth service.
• Contributing ideas on quality improvement and sustainable solutions within the service process.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a motivated technician with some initial experience or a strong technical background, ideally within a service or maintenance environment. You are keen to learn, meticulous and feel at home in a role that combines independence and responsibility.

• A qualification in a technical field, such as electromechanics, electrical engineering or maintenance engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 3 years’ relevant experience in a technical role.
• A basic understanding of electricity, mechanics and/or electronic control systems.
• Being able to work safely and in an organised manner whilst on the move.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Problem-solving skills and a sense of initiative.
• A willingness to learn new skills and undertake technical training.
• Driving licence B is required.

Experience with lifts is an advantage, but not an absolute requirement. More important are your interest in technology, your hands-on approach and your motivation to develop into a skilled service specialist.
