Junior Export Air Freight Forwarder

Function

Do you thrive in an environment where you can learn a lot, have to think on your feet and take the initiative? As an Export Air Freight Forwarder, you’ll play a key role in organising air freight shipments. You’ll work alongside clients and partners and have the opportunity to develop your skills step by step within the logistics sector.

• Co-ordinating and processing air freight consignments from start to finish.
• Monitoring of consignments, appointments, documents and necessary information.
• Act as the point of contact for customers, agents, suppliers and other relevant parties.
• Advising customers and ensuring clear, service-oriented communication.
• Booking shipments with airlines and maintaining contact with partners.
• Contributing ideas on options, rates and the efficient handling of consignments.
• Identifying areas for improvement and actively contributing to the provision of a high standard of service.

Profile

• You have a bachelor in logistics or already initial work experience in logistics. This is a must.
• Experience in air freight or as a freight forwarder is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You communicate fluently and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• You are flexible, proactive and enjoy taking the initiative.
• You have a good command of Dutch and English; knowledge of French would be an advantage.
• You’re curious and keen to develop your career further in the air freight sector.
