Investment advisor
Function
As an investment adviser, you will support existing and new clients in building their wealth.
You:
- advises clients on their investment options;
- manages and monitors existing investment relationships;
- analyses clients’ financial situations, objectives and needs;
- explains investment solutions in a way that is easy to understand;
- maintains active contact with existing customers;
- builds new customer relationships;
- takes the initiative to contact customers again;
- closely monitors the portfolio and the agreements made;
- works alongside other colleagues in the investments and insurance departments;
- will eventually have the opportunity to take on a leadership role within the team.
So you won’t just be taking on an existing portfolio. You’ll also be expected to have the confidence to build new relationships and take the initiative yourself.
Profile
For this role, we are specifically looking for someone who already has experience in investments. Clients expect an adviser who is knowledgeable and can immediately inspire confidence.
- You have relevant experience in investments or wealth management.
- You have a sound understanding of investment products.
- You know what you’re talking about and can explain complex subjects clearly.
- You have a commercial mindset and actively seek out new opportunities.
- You enjoy building long-term relationships with customers.
- You take the initiative and don’t just wait for customers to get in touch.
- You work accurately and in an organised way.
- You are enterprising and can see yourself potentially leading a team in the future.
- You’re a real team player and would fit in well within a family-oriented culture.
Organisation
You will be based in Veurne, where you will be part of a small team. At present, the investment activities are mainly handled by the director. They are therefore looking for someone who, in due course, can share a large part of this responsibility.
The office is part of a family-run group that operates from various branches in the Westhoek region. The organisation combines insurance, banking services, loans and investments, and has strong links with both private and business clients.
The corporate culture is clear: keep going, stay positive and take the initiative. There are no individual KPIs. Providing clients with good support and building long-term relationships is the top priority.
