Insurance Production Assistant (SME)
Function
As an in-house SME administrator, you act as the administrative hub within the SME team. You ensure that companies’ insurance files remain accurate, complete and up to date.
You will mainly be based in the office and will support your colleagues who deal with clients. You will ensure that quotes are requested and compared, that policies are processed correctly and that the database is always up to date.
Some of your tasks:
- managing and monitoring insurance files for SME clients;
- administrative processing of policies and amendments;
- request quotes from various insurers;
- compare quotations and clearly highlight the differences;
- preparing files for colleagues who visit clients;
- process data and customer information correctly in the database;
- following up on outstanding matters and ensuring that cases are completed on time;
- provide administrative support to the SME team;
- collecting and processing information when there are changes to customers’ circumstances;
- work closely with our commercial colleagues and other teams within the firm.
So, in this role, you won’t need to be sitting down with clients all the time. Your added value lies precisely in the fact that, behind the scenes, you ensure that the SME team can count on you.
Profile
You know SME insurance files inside out, or at least you’re keen to learn the ropes quickly. You like to work in a structured way and find it rewarding when a file is completed fully and correctly.
We are looking for someone who:
- has experience in the insurance sector, preferably in an SME environment;
- is administratively competent and works with precision;
- is able to handle several cases at once with ease;
- carefully compares quotations and identifies differences;
- enjoys working with systems and databases;
- takes the initiative, but at the same time enjoys working as part of a team;
- takes the initiative and actively supports colleagues;
- remains calm as the pace picks up;
- feels at home in a family-oriented, no-nonsense environment.
You don’t need to be a particularly sales-oriented person. Professionalism, organisation, knowledge of insurance and team spirit are more important here.
Organisation
Our client is a family-run insurance firm with strong local roots in the Ardooie-Lichtervelde region. Over the years, the organisation has grown significantly through a number of acquisitions. Today, the firm serves a broad client base comprising private individuals, businesses and industrial clients.
Within the office, we make a conscious effort to work in teams. There are no individual sales targets and the structure is flat. Colleagues support one another and work towards a single, shared goal.
The SME business is growing rapidly. The firm therefore intends to invest further in the services it provides to businesses, whilst maintaining its local and personalised approach.
There is also a great deal happening internally. Digitalisation and automation are playing a key role in reducing repetitive tasks. This creates more scope for substantive work and personal contact with customers.
Offer
You’ll take on an important support role within a growing SME team, with the opportunity to take on projects independently and further develop your knowledge.
You can count on:
- a fair and competitive remuneration package;
- meal vouchers;
- group insurance;
- hospitalisation insurance;
- ecocheques;
- dental insurance;
- option to lease a bicycle;
- a development programme in which your package evolves alongside you;
- 20 days’ leave;
- a 37.5-hour working week with flexible working hours;
- limited opportunities to work from home;
- a pleasant working environment where colleagues know and help one another.
In addition, the firm attaches great importance to the working atmosphere. Whether it’s having lunch together, a pizza night, an after-work get-together or an activity with colleagues: these aren’t compulsory events, but initiatives that arise from within the team itself.
