Head of Work Preparation
Function
As Head of Work Preparation, you will be the pivotal figure in the follow-up and realisation of some of the most high-profile construction projects in Belgium, including in Brussels. At our client - a market leader in the construction sector - you ensure that everything runs like clockwork, from start to completion. You manage a driven team of work planners, with whom you collaborate on efficient planning and innovative solutions. You monitor the overall progress of projects and act as an important link between design and implementation teams. Through your experience in risk management, coordination of planning and supervision of procurement processes, you ensure that each project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will report directly to the sub-area manager and work closely with project leaders and design managers.
Profile
We are looking for someone who is strong on their feet and a real pace-setter within complex construction projects. Ideally, you will bring the following:
- A degree in industrial or civil engineering construction with at least 5 years of relevant experience in work preparation or project coordination.
- Excellent command of Dutch. Knowledge of English is a plus.
- A natural leadership style and an ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Experience in management, communication, delegation, prioritisation and negotiation skills.
- A solution-oriented and creative mindset, combined with a highly developed organisational feel.
- Sophisticated skills in risk management, requirements verification and design document follow-up.
- Ability to work successfully together in a dynamic and innovative environment where teamwork is key.
