GL Accountant

Function

As a GL Accountant with our client, you will play a crucial role in the management and reporting of financial data. You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• You will be responsible for the monthly financial close.
• You bet the pivot between the various cash flows within the organisation and all its parts.
• You will arrange mandatory returns, such as VAT, Intrastat, Prodcom and tax returns.
• You will support controls, including internal and external audits.
• You will prepare tax returns and financial statements and ensure that they are filed correctly and on time according to the applicable rules.
• You will manage outstanding invoices, track customer payments, and ensure that the company's cash flow remains optimal.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 5 years' experience in accounting, including initial experience as a GL accountant.
• A good knowledge of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics.
• A solid knowledge of VAT legislation and rules around taxes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
• Fluent in Dutch and very strong in English.
