Function

As Freight Forwarder Airfreight (Export) in Machelen, you will play an important role in organising and coordinating goods transports by air. You will be responsible for the entire process from A to Z. Whether it is customer service, making shipments in the TMS system or communicating within the global network, you will ensure that everything runs smoothly and meets the highest standards. Your duties will include:

• Provide daily customer service and liaise closely with customers on air freight shipments for export.
• Setting up and managing shipments in the TMS system.
• Provide instructions to the customs team for the preparation of customs documents.
• Communicate daily within the global network for shipments, pre-alerts and quotes.
• Ensuring accurate billing and managing high-quality data.
• Applying compliance and security standards (such as embargoed countries and goods).

Profile

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Freight Forwarding (preferably air freight).
• A good command of the Dutch and English languages.
• Ability to learn and apply new IT systems quickly.
• A strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality-oriented work.
• A proactive attitude and the flexibility to perform in a dynamic environment.
