Freight Forwarder

Function

For the job of freight forwarder, you are the driving force behind the logistics process. You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• You distribute transport orders to subcontractors and follow them closely;
• For customers, you are the first point of contact and provide them with the necessary advice and guidance on road transport;
• You will work closely with your colleagues to provide optimal support to the drivers.

Profile

For the job of transport planner at our client, you recognise yourself in the following competences:

• You have relevant studies or initial successful experience in a planning role;
• You are stress-resistant and have good communication skills;
• You can be flexible and help look for improvement proposals;
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch, French, and English;
• You will work a 37-hour week between 8:30am and 5pm, with flexibility.

Our client is a Belgian freight forwarding company, connecting large shippers with the best road hauliers. Recently founded, the company is building an international platform that perfectly matches supply and demand.

They deliver within the Benelux and have a network of more than 1,000 quality carriers. With their own trailer fleet, they offer high-quality FTL transport (transport of full loads) in four forms: tautliner (curtain-sided trailer), box trailers, open trailers and vans.
