Freight forwarder

Function

As freight forwarder You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and optimisation of international transport operations. In addition, your duties will include the following:

• You plan the most efficient and cost-effective route, specifically for air, sea and rail freight – mainly to North Africa;
• You will ensure that all export, import and transit documents are in place – in consultation with the customs department;
• You negotiate rates with shipping lines and airlines;
• Together with your colleagues, you will monitor shipments from start to finish;
• You resolve operational issues or delays to ensure the customer remains satisfied.

Profile

Are you the freight forwarder what we are looking for?

• You have experience as a freight forwarder;
• You communicate and write fluent in Dutch and French. Knowledge of English is an added bonus;
• You have a good knowledge of customs formalities;
• You are communicatively strong and customer-oriented;
• You work accurately, in a structured and solution-oriented way;
• You are flexible and like a dynamic working environment.
