Finance Manager

Function

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations within our organisation. You will be based at our office in Wommelgem (ANT, BE), where you will act as a key point of contact for financial matters and strategies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Checking the accounts and carrying out detailed analyses.
• Processing and managing purchase and sales invoices.
• Making payments, with a particular focus on larger sums that are managed exclusively by you.
• Handle VAT returns and monthly account closures.
• Preparing reports and liaising with our external accountant/auditor and overseas branches.
• Leading a team of seven people to work together to achieve the financial targets.

With your expertise and leadership, you will help to build a strong financial foundation within our organisation.

Profile

To be successful in this role as Finance Manager, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications and skills:

• Between 5 and 10 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a similar financial role.
• A good knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Experience in the transport sector is an advantage.
• Reliable and discreet when handling sensitive financial information.
• Independent and proactive in carrying out responsibilities.
• There are no specific academic requirements; practical experience and leadership skills are more important.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Multilingualism (NL, FR, ENG) is a major asset, but not an absolute requirement.
