Experienced credit adviser
Function
- As a credit adviser, you guide clients through financing questions and translate their plans into suitable credit solutions, with particular attention to the self-employed and entrepreneurs.
- You conduct advisory conversations about day-to-day banking matters, savings and investments, basic insurance, consumer credits, and tailored financial solutions. The focus is on proactive advice, not merely administrative follow-up.
- Reading, interpreting, and translating balance sheets and financial data into clear advice forms an important part of your role. This gives you insight into the broader situation and the genuine needs of the client.
- Through telephone contacts, inbound leads, and existing clients, you identify opportunities. You take the initiative yourself to contact clients again and to bring relevant solutions to their attention.
- First-line telephony is part of your remit. You help clients efficiently, ask targeted questions, and extract from every conversation the information needed for quality advice.
- In a compact office with short lines of communication, you liaise directly with colleagues and partners. You will have room to take on responsibility and to organise your approach independently.
- After a thorough induction period, you will further develop your commercial role, with opportunities to focus increasingly on business banking, insurance, or another financial specialisation in time.
Profile
- You have approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in banking, credits, financial services, or a comparable commercial advisory environment.
- Being able to read and interpret financial documents and balance sheets is important, as is sufficient insight into credit provision, banking products, and the financial context of entrepreneurs.
- You have a commercial mindset and are not afraid to proactively contact clients. You draw energy from advisory conversations, recognise opportunities, and turn questions into concrete solutions.
- Smooth, calm, and accessible communication helps you to build trust. You listen attentively, ask follow-up questions without hesitation, and explain complex information in an understandable way.
- Independence, eagerness to learn, and solution-oriented thinking make the difference in this broad role: you actively seek out information, get to grips with new subject matter, and take responsibility for your files.
Organisation
Working in an office with a small team of 10 employees, including 4 partners, means short lines of communication, clear coordination and room to take on responsibility. Tasks and responsibilities are not rigidly defined, allowing for a great deal of trust and freedom in how you organise your work.
In terms of working arrangements, you will also enjoy the necessary autonomy, with freedom regarding working from home and working hours. In addition, a competitive salary is provided, in line with what is expected within the role.
The office is modern and newly fitted out, providing a pleasant workplace. In the immediate vicinity you will find a bus stop at the door, nearby parking and various shops — handy for making the most of your lunch break or quickly running errands. At lunchtime, lunch is provided, so you can continue your working day without any worries.
Offer
- You will receive a correct gross salary that takes into account your relevant experience, subject-matter knowledge, and commercial added value.
- The salary package is supplemented with fringe benefits, including meal vouchers, hospitalisation insurance, a group insurance scheme, eco-vouchers, and a commuting allowance.
- If you come by car, a fuel card may be available within the agreed arrangements and without unlimited use.
- You work a 38-hour week with statutory holidays, additional leave days, and recuperation days. Leave is taken by mutual agreement; there is no fixed collective closure period, with the exception of an agreed collective bank holiday.
- You will typically start with a working schedule of around 8.30 to 16.30. After an induction period of approximately three to six months, more flexibility in working hours becomes available, including occasionally a later finish until 19.00 from Monday to Thursday.
- Working from home is possible in time, once you have settled in independently. Fridays can generally finish earlier and there are no Saturday openings.
- You will work in a modern office in Hechtel-Eksel, with a compact team, short lines of communication, and direct consultation with the partners. A nearby bus stop, parking facilities, and shops within walking distance make the working day a practical one.
- You will have room to further develop your expertise and, in time, to specialise in credits, business banking, insurance, or another financial pillar.
