Dispatcher

Function

As a dispatcher, you are the central link in the distribution of daily newspapers within your assigned region. You watch over the smooth and efficient running of daily operations and ensure that all processes function optimally.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and optimising distribution routes within the assigned region;
• Directing and briefing operators and subcontractors on the routes to be followed, as well as communicating and following up on any changes;
• Monitoring and handling complaints to ensure service quality;
• Maintaining close contact with the customer, including reporting and monitoring of predefined parameters.

Profile

Are you the dispatcher we are looking for?

You act with decisiveness and get energy from continuously improving quality. You think solution-oriented and actively seek optimisations within the operation.

In addition, you possess the following qualities and skills:

• You have a positive attitude, are stress-resistant and function well within a working environment with time pressure, where you derive satisfaction from solving operational challenges;
• You have strong communication skills, both oral and written in Dutch. Basic knowledge of French is required, a good knowledge is a definite plus;
• You work fluently with MS Office;
• You are in possession of a valid driving licence B;
• You are flexible within the following work schedule: 02:00 - 10:00 (with two Saturdays per month until 10:00 and one day off during the week). There will eventually be an additional rotating shift from 06:00 - 14:00.
