Customer Service Employee

Function

For our client in Geel We are looking for a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be based in Geel, working in a dynamic logistics environment where shipments, schedules and customer enquiries are subject to constant change. You will act as the link between customers, planning, dispatching, invoicing and external transport partners. Combining commercial acumen, administrative accuracy and operational insight, you will ensure that enquiries and issues are dealt with correctly, clearly and in a timely manner.

After-sales cases are at the heart of your role. You’ll be in daily contact with customers by telephone and email, and will actively seek suitable solutions to a wide range of queries and issues:

• You will deal with enquiries regarding rates, charges, loading and unloading arrangements, transport details and other operational or administrative matters.
• You will gather the necessary information for complaint files, record the relevant details and monitor each case closely.
• You ensure that information flows smoothly to the operations and invoicing departments.
• You will investigate operational issues independently and liaise with the dispatch or planning teams where necessary.
• You ensure that agreements are honoured and keep clients and internal partners informed of progress.
• You identify recurring issues and help to establish clear, efficient working arrangements.

Profile

For the position of Customer Service Employee at our client’s premises in Geel We are looking for an independent and solution-oriented professional with 3 to 5 years’ experience in customer service, preferably within transport, logistics or a similar operational environment. You combine excellent communication skills with meticulous administrative follow-up and feel at ease in a context where priorities can change rapidly.

• You have proven experience in customer service, preferably with a background in the transport or logistics sector.
• You are fluent in Dutch, English and French, both spoken and written.
• You are customer-focused, professional and skilled at explaining information clearly.
• You work independently, take the initiative and actively seek viable solutions.
• Knowledge of container transport, terminals, port transport or the wider logistics sector would be an advantage.

Offer

For the position of Customer Service Employee offers our client in Geel the following package:

• A gross salary based on experience, ranging from €3,500 to €4,500
• Meal vouchers worth €7.55
• After the temporary employment period, the following will be added: maternity vouchers and insurance.
